HOME-WORDS-BOUND Zine Publication with NCCWN

‘Home Words Bound’ 2021 is Community Creative Project in Collaboration with National Collective of Community Based Women’s Networks and Barbara O’Meara Artist. This publication features the writing and poetry of women living in Ireland during the time of the global pandemic from 2020-2021 and highlights how this experience affected them. Capturing a unique time in our social history by giving a creative voice to women, each piece of writing then inspired Barbara O’Meara Artist to create a painting in response. A recent review by acclaimed Irish Artist Brian Maguire “Barbara O’Meara’s recent paintings dealing with home and Covid 19 are extremely beautiful and extremely coherent in their communication. Rarely is it seen where painting is used to convey complex emotional human conditions”
All proceeds from the sale of this publication will be donated to Saoirse Women’s Refuge.
